Artist Statement: Bling Satchmo with Ballons. 

This piece captures Louis Armstrong, a joyful symbol of resilience and creativity, smiling brightly and surrounded by golden mylar balloons. Known for the joy he spread through his music, I wanted to portray him here in a moment of pure happiness, sans trumpet, to celebrate his spirit in a way that invites everyone to smile along. My hope is that this piece, like Armstrong himself, brings warmth, joy, and a touch of golden light to each viewer’s day.
